What is a Family Resource Center?

The Kentucky Family Resource and Youth Services Centers initiative was established with the passage of the Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA) of 1990, as amended.  The mission of the center is to enhance student's abilities to succeed in school by developing partnerships that promote early learning, academic achievement and well being.  The goal of the Family Resource Center is to meet the needs of all children and their families who reside in the community or neighborhood served by the school in which the center is located.

Where is the FRC located?

The HES Family Resource Center is located in the main office of HES.  Please drop in, call or e-mail for additional information, assistance, questions or suggestions.

What do Family Resource Centers do and what services are offered?
