Principal's Message
Bearcat Families,
As the new Principal of Hardinsburg Elementary School, I want to say that I am humbled and honored to be given the opportunity to lead this amazing school into the future. Breckinridge County School District has already proven to be an amazing place to work and has given me ample support and guidance as I have started in my positions at HES.
I want to take a few moments and introduce myself to all of the Bearcat Families so that we can start building our community of support together. My name is Jeremy Stone and I just finished my 19th year in education. I graduated from Daviess County High School in 2000, attended Campbellsville University where I earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with an Emphasis on Percussion in 2004. I followed that degree with a Master's of Arts in Special Education also from Campbellsville University in 2009 and then in 2021 I earned my Rank 1 in Instructional Leadership - Education Specialist from University of the Cumberlands.
I have been teaching Elementary Music at Whitesville Elementary School since 2004 and have absolutely LOVED passing along the joy of music to my students everyday! I have served in many other roles within my school building including SBDM, PTO, KTIP Teacher, Student Teacher Mentor, District Technology Trainer, Bus Driver and more. I was recently named the District 2 KMEA Music Teacher of the Year in 2022.
While away from school, I am a proud father of 4 children ages 9 through 17 and a lucky husband of 20 years! I love to teach in my church, volunteer in my community, spend time with my family doing pretty much anything outdoors! We love to hunt, kayak, fish and travel. We also love to cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals as often as possible. Above all else, I love to spend each day helping others learn and grow so they can be successful in life!
As the Principal of Hardinsburg Elementary School, I want to take this opportunity to share with you a few things about my educational beliefs.
My Mission:
As Principal of Hardinsburg Elementary School I am committed to providing ALL students the best education each day. I will support others daily through Kindness, Empathy, and Accountability. EVERY student will learn to Dream Big and ROAR with Success!
My Vision:
At Hardinsburg Elementary School, I believe that EVERY student has the potential and the right to Dream Big and ROAR with Success. I am committed to meeting each student and teacher in this journey and providing them the education, support, and interventions necessary to become successful lifelong learners. While this journey may look very different for some students, I truly believe that success breeds success and with the right support any child can Launch their future right here at HES!

As we enter into the 2023-24 school year, I want every family to know that I will always do my best to make decisions based on what is best for the students’ success. I hope to provide many new opportunities for family engagement and learning throughout the year, and truly build our school community into a family of support! We want parents to be involved in school and feel confident and comfortable when talking to the students about what they are learning each day.
Again I want to say “Thank You” for your support of Hardinsburg Elementary School and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family! I look forward to an amazing year as a Bearcat Family as we start Building Bright Futures Together!
