It looks like Mother Nature is trying to bring some icy and snowy weather our way.  Please keep an eye on the weather Sunday evening to see if school is affected for Monday.

At assembly this afternoon we were able to recognize students for their tremendous work on the winter MAP test.  We were also able to recognize our archery team, students who earned PAWS certificates, along with introducing our Future Problem Solving, Written Composition, and Quick Recall teams.  It is a privilege each week to honor and to recognize our students for their work and for the success they have inside and outside of the classroom.

Our next PTO meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 15th, at 6:00 p.m.  Please make plans to attend.  If the weather doesn’t cooperate and we have to cancel the meeting, I’m sure the meeting will be rescheduled soon.

For the next few days and for the next several weeks it will be important to keep an eye on the weather and how it may affect school.  The best way to receive school closing information is to call the Breckinridge County Board of Education weather hotline at 756-3125 or sign up for the Notify Me email and text alert.  This can be done through the school’s website. You can also hear about school closings and delays on WXBC 104.3 or from one of the Louisville television stations. Check out our Facebook page, too. Please do not call the school or district offices for school closing information.

If you ever have any questions or if I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to call, to stop by or to email me at
