We’re wrapping up a busy week at HES! Now we turn our attention to a short, two day week and Thanksgiving Break.

Our book fair concluded today, with students, parents, and staff all enjoying the opportunity to visit the book fair and to purchase books.  With two book fair nights, parents and students were able to earn a book fair voucher and to use that towards the purchase of books. A special thank you goes out to Mrs. Davidson, Mrs. Frank, and Mrs. Gregory from FRC who helped make our book fair successful.

The HES basketball Bearcats went back into action Tuesday and went up against BJES.  Our students played extremely hard and showed they have made great progress over the course of the season. At the end of the night, all four teams came away with victories.  We are so proud of our athletes and the sportsmanship they continue to show. The regular season is now over, with tournament action beginning on December 3rd.

On Monday we will begin selling tickets for our “HES 2019 Holiday Cash Raffle”.  Money raised from this fundraiser will help support our students with resources, supplies, field trips, rewards, and other necessities not covered by our regular budget.  Tickets are only $1, with the opportunity to win six prizes--$500, $250, $100, $100, $50, and $50. The drawing will be held at the conclusion of our K-2 Christmas Program on December 13th, at 9:00.  Thanks in advance for supporting our school, and a special thanks to our students, parents and community/business sponsors who are helping with this important fundraiser.
